1. General Guidelines

4. Fire Response SOP

In Case of Fire:

  1. Immediate Action:

    • Raise the alarm immediately (use manual call points or alert control room).

    • Evacuate guests and staff calmly and safely.

    • Call local fire services if needed.

  2. Using Fire Extinguishers:

    • Identify the type of fire (electrical, chemical, or combustible materials).

    • Use the correct type of fire extinguisher:

      • Water: wood/paper fires

      • CO2: electrical fires

      • Foam/Powder: flammable liquids

    • Follow PASS method: Pull – Aim – Squeeze – Sweep

  3. Evacuation:

    • Guide guests to designated fire exits.

    • Ensure elevators are not used during evacuation.

    • Assemble guests at safe assembly points.

    • Account for all guests and staff.


5. Roles & Responsibilities SOP

  • Fire Warden:

    • Lead evacuation and assist guests.

    • Check all areas including restrooms and storage rooms.

  • Reception Staff:

    • Notify fire department and management.

    • Maintain guest records and assist with evacuation.

  • All Staff:

    • Assist guests in evacuation.

    • Do not attempt to fight large fires alone.


6. Emergency Communication SOP

  • Use intercom, PA system, or alarm system to notify all areas.

  • Communicate clearly and calmly.

  • Provide updates to guests and staff as necessary.

  • Maintain a list of emergency contacts.


7. Fire Drill SOP

  • Conduct regular fire drills for all departments.
